I know what it is, and I've messed around with it as well. Tried to enchance my armor, but it's too much work for me. I'm using it as I speak to finish mapping Cantha.

It's a personal decision that I don't, that I consider it somewhat cheating (I won't argue this point or impose any judgment on others, it's just a personal opinion). I have GMC, got it legitly.

I also won't use any mods because there's a tiny part of me that thinks one day Anet will wake up and realized they've descended down the slope of allowing mods that are incrementally becoming hacks.

Again, just my personal opinion and won't pass judgment on others who think differently.

Bingo. Only I know for sure I'd only use one for the Cartographer Title and even then, only if I'm really having trouble (or lazy).

I have used it, am using it, and it's that kind of good stuff that should be in the game for all to benefit!

Talking about Cartography titles assistance, that is...

I used it for Elona Cartography. Couldn't bother mapping another entire map by grinding edges alone. I have been looking into other mods, but changing my bambi to black doesn't appeal to me.

Can I has it?

Is there any better "complete" list of Playermade mods besides here?

Never bothered with it, not even sure what it does but after reading this thread, thinking about it. After all it is frustrating having a char with 99.-% and not sure what`s missing.
So what`s this spirit placement thing? Sounds interesting.

I use it for a variety of things.

Someone needs to come up with some grammar rules for this thing. Are we talking about Textmod as a plural thing or if you use multiple ones is it called Textmod's. Kind of like, "I got the mail" you don't say "I got the mail's" even if there are multiple letters. Argh! The frustration.
I'm glad to see someone is asking the important questions here.

My reticence to run anything downloaded that isn't open source prevents me from using textmod.
